On Sunday 23rd May the Parent Association organised a family fun walk and cycle to get the whole community involved in Active Schools. There was a great turn out of walkers and cyclists and a fun day was had by all. At the end of the day there were prizes given to the best 'blinged out bike' from the junior, middle and senior classes.
We had a busy last two days of Our Active School Week. There was a basketball league for pupils from Third to Sixth Class while Junior Infants to Second Class had playground games. Tuesday was bling your bike or fancy feet day for Fifth and Sixth Class and on Tuesday evening we had great fun at the Teacher vs Pupil basketball match. Junior Infants and Sixth Class got a chance to unwind on Wednesday evening when they had a yoga class with Ellen Baggs.
Today we were also celebrating European Day here in St. Mochulla's. We danced to the macarena and Abba's 'Waterloo' in the morning and First Class and Senior Infants had an exercise class with Iwana. There was a penalty shoot out for different classes throughout the day and the winners of this took shots with Mr. Culloo in goals at the end of the day. It was Bling your Bike or Fancy Feet for Third and Fourth Class.
