  • In the case of children travelling by school bus, the school cannot accept responsibility for escorting children from the bus to school or from the school to the bus. Those parents who feel their children need to be escorted on these occasions should make arrangements to ensure that some escort is provided.
  • Junior and Senior Infants who travel on the bus will be supervised by class teacher up to 2:50pm. This facility is limited to those children who travel to school by bus. Parents are requested to ensure that an older child will escort their child to the bus at home time.
  • In the event of the bus not arriving to bring the children home at 2:50 pm, the school will take whatever steps necessary to ensure the children’s supervision until alternative arrangements are put in place.
  • Any child who misses the bus at 2:50 pm should go to the office where contact will be made with the child’s home.
  • Responsibility for conduct on the school bus lies with Bus Eireann.
